Default Hamster genes extinct?

Is the ruby eyes gene truly extinct? Or the piebald gene?

Default Re: Hamster genes extinct?

If not extinct it is so buried in the gene pool it wouldn't have any chance to pair up with another alike of it's kind making it impossible to breed. I know of one USA breeder who firmly believes they still have the Piebald gene but they are finding the gene less and less with each generation.
