That sounds like a good goal and interesting, plus it's always good to have a breeder to buy a hamster from Is there a Hamster council for breeders in Germany that you could join? In the Uk there is the National Hamster Council, and I believe it is for breeders to join, and within it there are regional sections which list breeders for that region, organise hamster shows and so on. I was just thinking some kind of offical Hamster Council like that is more likely to be able to offer help and support rather than being difficult or competitive - and more professional than some of the forums you haven't found to be good

There are definite pro's to buying from an ethical breeder. None the less we are happy to have you and look forward to pictures of the babies. (And yes that means all the hamsters not just pups)

I'd advise checking out some of the forum rules though, and the breeding thread I don't think photos of pups are allowed until their eyes are open.

Someone got their link deleted for posting a video showing pups with their eyes closed.I'm pretty sure it's something to do with not promoting the risk associated with handling pups very early or something like that, but of course there are other rules probably when it comes to breeding that must be reviewed!

Good luck with your plans. It's a good idea to make links with reputable breeders. I've rehomed a couple of Syrians to Germany in the past

Pictures will be coming for sure! Nelly just gave birth to a rather large seeming litter today. While she was out of her house i peeked at the nest and spotted about ten babies. It is sooo hard to resist not to touch them... but eventually the wait will be worth it as soon as they start moving around the aquarium ♡♡♡ Let's hope they'll all make it so i will post pictures as soon as their little eyes are open

Oh how exciting for you and your family. Glad the birthing went well and in about 2 weeks we can enjoy seeing some more wee fuzz balls about on HC.
