Default ST's Hamstery's C-16 Litter

I bred the RIP Dewey II to Ahave on March 13th she is due March 31st
Ahave is from Erin R's Hamstery(someday she'll decide on a name)
Ahave is Sired by the late Theo a Melanistic Yellow Carrying Polywhite, Rust and Cinnamon. Out of Maggie who was one of the Original Chocolates who also Carries Polywhite and Cinnamon. Ahave is a B I G girl tipping the scales at 280g, and is a LH Chocolate Tort who likes to pretend to be a Chocolate unless you see her tummy where you quickly find she is Homo Polywhite and you can find her biggest Tort patches. She has a high probability to carry Cinnamon.

Dewey II is a Hetero Polywhite Satin banded Dominant Spot Golden who carries black, and Cinnamon.

The purpose of the breeding was to add Satin coat, as well as the Band, and Dominant Spot genes to the Rust lines, and aim for a Satin Black Homo Polywhite Dominant Spot pup or two. All pups will be carriers of Rust.

Possible colors are many if both parents carry for Cinnamon. I can get for sure Black, Golden, Melanistic Yellow, and Yellow Males. Black, Black Tort, Golden, and Golden Tort Females. IF Ahave proves to carry Cinnamon then add on to the above colors Cinnamon, Dove, Honey, and Honeyblack to the male list. Cinnamon, Cinnamon Tort, Dove, Dove Tort, to the Female list. All can be Solid or Banded, Dominant Spot, Banded-Dominant Spot,Heterozygous Polywhite, or Homo Polywhite can occur along with all the other patterns.

Here are the two lovebirds taking a breif pause when mating

And this is Ahave tonight while I did the final cage clean before the pups arrive.

This litter is bitter sweet as I lost Dewey II but he lives on with this litter. The litter will be a very exciting one for additions to the hamstery's Rust lines, as well as the Yellow lines as so far neither parent has shown any signs of carrying Cream.

Goodness - look at the difference in size of those two! Lovely coats. Is he big or is the other one small?

She's the big one. The females in that litter all turned out to be pretty big girls. I still have 2 of her sisters and they are both in the 250g range which is big for us

OK Ladies just wait and see how many she has and that they are weaned first. Elisa looked huge and only had 3 pups and Chedva also seemed big and only had 4 and Chedva's litter was sired by Dewey II also. Of course I will be keeping at least two for using to reach my minor goal for this year. And I do need to meet my waiting list people too. They have been so patient with me since last November.

Ahave is so weird and it has been very hard to up her proteins as she refuses to eat scrambled, or boiled egg, absolutely acts like a sissy human girl about meal worms "Ewww you want me to touch THAT creepy thing? GET LOST!!!". She also buried the nice offering of warmed baby cereal I made just for her. Sigh.

So the only thing left was to offer her extra higher protein seeds and hope she doesn't store the fat from them. However she adores her lab block food and it is 18% protein. So she is most likely OK with just her basic food source.

Haha! Myrcella is exactly like this too.

They're both beautiful and I'm sorry to hear about Dewey. There's so many possibilities which makes it so exciting! Can't wait to see pictures and I hope Ahave does well with the birthing and bringing up of the litter, she's largely beautiful!

A slew of pups were in the nest when I got back home from Prayer Service and some have red eyes so Ahave gained one of her parents Cinnamon gene. I had no way to count eyeballs and noses but their is a whole corner of the bin covered in Pink jellybeans and one even managed to crawl out of the nest. I had to carefully scoop the brave strong little bean back towards the Pod where Ahave took over escorting it's pink behind back where it belonged.
