Sounds like you guys are talking in a foreign language!
I like keeper #1 especially Do you have a waiting list or how do you screen for good homes? I kind of like #6 too with the dark turning ears, he is sweet!

Neither did I, until talking to a large hamstery who has been breeding Polywhite for a few years with imported hamsters from Malta. They have found 100% of the time even a Het Polywhite gene will lighten the Yellow gene color as well as some others like any Cream based color.

See a good Hobby breeder is always learning more about genetics

Would be very nice for future. Couple years away as I have a rather large hamily right now. Where is mama 26 located?

I am in north central PA. I'm not near any big cities, but I'm about 45 minutes south of Scranton, if that helps.

I do tend to have a short waiting list. (2-6 weeks) I have a simple contract where it is clear that the hamster is always welcome back here, and I ask what type of cage they have.

Each hamster here is tamed pretty carefully. At the moment 6 out of the 8 pups will climb onto my hand willingly. Cherie's litter, on the other hand, actually SWARMS my hand, and 9 out of the 11 are trying to climb on pretty much all at once. It is very funny, and very cute.

I was really starting to wonder if they WERE lighter than most creams. Most of my other creams have always been satin, but I kept staring at them, especially after Winnie asked, and thinking they did seem a tad lighter than normal. Now I know why!

I am seriously hoping Mr. Keeper is EE, and his coat simply lightened from the polywhite gene.

I am now wondering what a polywhite black eyed ivory would look like... they are very light cream, and I love the color, but I'm wondering if it would look like a black eyed white with the polywhite added... Does it also lighten sables? So what would a polywhite silver sable look like? Or better yet, a homo polywhite homo silver sable??

These happen to be some of my favorite colors, but there are so many possibilities!

Did he say how much lighter homo poly is from hetero?

I'll have to write this down for future use
I will have these dwarves for some time yet, but down the road? I Googled Scranton & I am 4 hours & 10 min away from there, so you would be 5 hour drive. I could fly instead Sounds nice
In seriousness though it's good to know you have short waiting lists. I know someone posting on another forum looking for a cream male right now from a breeder, but they live in Northwest so that would be far. Not sure what state but I told them I knew someone with a litter but said I didn't know how long the wait was?

I'd still pick #6

Attachment 36481

My 2 keepers now have names.

Primrose is the female cream on the left, and Geordy (pronounced Jordy) is the male yellow-black on the right! I do reserve the right to rename Geordy though, if I end up not feeling it suits him. Primrose is perfect... just look at that little face! (I am partial to flower names.)
