Re: ST's Cherie x Blackout (Chocolate Carriers!)
Pinkneon your reading about two different litters cause Blueraysdarkie posted she couldn't wait to see pictures as Nancy's pups are always so pretty and I have one a litter here with 3 pups. Cherie has followed in the path of all our Chocolate lines and had 11 and will wean that many.

Don't mind me I'm a dumb person and posted in the wrong thread about Nancy's pups, but I love seeing pup pictures no matter what.

Thanks. Sorry, I get confused easily - probably because I don't always read things through!

Re: ST's Cherie x Blackout (Chocolate Carriers!)
I am sorry I am so late with the pictures! The pups are 3 weeks, 3 days old. These pictures were taken on the 3 week, 0 day mark though.
It is so adorable to have a cage full of 11 black baby hamsters. Their taming is coming along nicely. Last night 8 of the 11 willingly climbed into my hand. That is one of my favorite moments in a hamster's life.

And here are some tummy pictures of the ones I think received the polywhite gene from Cherie. I am not as skillful as Nancy at getting tummy shots, as you can see. I tried to hold them by their little scruffs, but they in no way sat still for pictures, and I could not snap the picture with one hand while holding a wiggling baby with the other, so I settled for just pictures of the half I could let hang down.
This is #3, #10, and #10, respectively. They all have chest patches to match.

Cherie has been a great mom. She raised all 11 babies, and has not gotten tired of them. She did move/change her nest 3-4 times, and MOST of the time I could not see the babies because of the things she came up with. But it was worth the wait, and here they all are!

Re: ST's Cherie x Blackout (Chocolate Carriers!)
The keeper from Kenzie's litter is a long-awaited yellow-black (melanistic yellow) hetero polywhite male. I do not yet know if he is EE or Ee, but his type is a significant improvement over his grandfather, who he will replace, as Alaster has already been retired from breeding.
I am planning to match the little YB boy with the keeper from Cherie's litter. (Who I am probably naming her Emmy or Emmy-Joy or maybe Emmy-something-else) The two of them will have our very first chocolate pups! (some homo, some hetero, and some not polywhite)
What excitement!

I don't think I have ever seen a satin black. As they age can you tell they are satin? Such a cute litter, I don't know how you can tell them apart lol.

I'm not M2S but I can tell you Erin when you have a normal black next to a satin black it is very obvious, but the white on their paws and body are a huge tell all as a Satin white glistens and sparkles like it is tinsel on a tree. The black is far more shiny but can be confused with a very healthy coat if not for the shimmery white on the paws.

Re: ST's Cherie x Blackout (Chocolate Carriers!)
Well, here they are from this morning. They've grown quite a lot, and they've (literally) become quite the handful.
