Default Padster & Ruby photographs - comparing Cinnamon

I thought I would post some pictures of Padster, who I bred, and Ruby who is from Bourne Valley Hamsters. I haven't shown either yet, but will do in January.

Padster is still pale but is quite young so wont develop the richness of the orange yet, whereas Ruby is 5 months and has quite a good colour and a nice face.

Padster is long haired and you can see the blueish bloom coming through -

He is the absolute spit of Paddy in the last picture.

Ruby is short haired. I'm going to show her now she is fully tame but wont be breeding her as she had Wet Tail so I will be getting another Cinnamon girl soon.

I'm hoping to improve the colour down the line - Padster seems good type so far - his face isn't too narrow but he's still only 10 weeks, bless him.

They definitly do, They usually start most orangy on the head and it works its way back. Sometimes it does not fully deepen until they have had a moult and can then deepen further with each moult until they start to get old and the fur thins when they start to look greyish again
