Pekoe heard that I was hoping for a Canada Day birthday so went, NAH, and had them this morning instead. Sill girl! I saw only one pup, but I am sure there are more in there. I almost never get to see a thing at this stage, so this is pretty normal. I expect she will be much slimmer the next time she comes out of her nest! Hurray for Pekoe!

Sorry for the slow updates. Pekoe is doing great. She has left her nest open a few times so I do know how many are in the nest right now, but let's see how they do when their eyes open. I'm certain you will be surprised by the number of pups she has.

Since I have announced it to those on our wait list now, I can say so here. Pekoe had three pups! I'm surprised - I saw them pretty soon after they were all born and thought for sure she ought to be having more... no dice. She may have culled them due to them being unhealthy, or for whatever reason - but I trust Pekoe made the right decision no matter what. I know she's a fabulous mum so I do not feel as though she culled out of stress, so they may have just been three very fat pup!

She lets me see in every now and then and has been so so lovely. There is a very obvious black tort, a black band, and a melanistic yellow band. The two blacks look quite a bit lighter than what I normally see, so I have a feeling they are both extreme dilute

Pups are out and running around, not all the time, but are totally getting their sea legs under them! They're super sweet, and I love watching Pekoe haul them back in. They look huge (unsurprisingly!).

Both black are extreme dilute. I'm not certain on the melanistic yellow - I think she might be as she is VERY light. If I wasn't 100% sure Pekoe was EE I would chock it up to her being eeToTo as Habib is Ee, however I know she is not. She looks much lighter than my other Ee yellows and melanistic yellows so far. We'll see as she gets bigger!

Can't wait to handle them and share pictures.

They're very pretty definitely different than I'm used to! I can't wait to share them.

Well I can show you what each looks like via close family members of this litter
Here is what a Homo ED Ee Mel Yellow SH looks like at 21 days old.

And what a Homo ED EE Black Tort Band LH looks like at just 19 days old

And her litter brother who is a Homo ED EE Black Band SH

So Hekomi does your Mel Yellow girl look like the above Homo ED Mel Yellow pup?

The black and the black tort are without a doubt ED. Just the melanistic yellow bab. She might be? It's hard to know right now, but hopefully you can weigh your 2cents in a few days. She is maybe a touch darker than Habib was at that age - possibly EE? Not sure.

Either way all the babies do have homes (easy for a litter of three) though where the black tort ends up is not 100% sure as she will either stay here with me or go to Spica Hamstery and live with the robos (but return to be bred once old enough).
