Default I'm wanting to become a breeder (in the future)

Hello all,

I want to find out as much information as i can before i start to breed Syrian hamsters. I will be wanting to show them too. Here are things i want to know:

Pairing:
- Is there any specific needs you need to live up to when pairing?

Mating process:
- How long does it last?
- Do you separate them straight away after the process?

Pregnancy:
- Signs
- Nutritional needs?
- Do you keep the environment the same for the hamster?
- When do i stop handling her?

After birth:
- Anything specific i should look out for?
- Nutritional needs for mother?
- Behaviors commonly shown by mother?
- Do i need to take out all the toys and wheel, or just some?
- How will i know the mother stays healthy?
- When can i start to handle the mother again?

Pups:
- What should a healthy pup look like?
- What is their development process, and how long does it take?
- Nutritional needs?
- When do i start to tame the Pups?
- When can you sex them?

Enclosure:
- Whats the most comfortable setting for a mother and pups?
- Best substrate?
- Toys or no toys?
- When can i re-introduce the wheel?

Other:
- When can i start to clean, or peep into the cage?
- What is the best age to breed?
- How often is a Female on heat?
- What is a good appearance classed as? (Like head, ear, eye size etc.. )

If i have forgotten anything please let me know. I really can't wait to learn about all of this. I find it really fascinating, and nothing will make me more happy to contribute to the production of happy, healthy, tame hamster! not only that but i am really interested in the colour forms and i want to produce decent sized hams!

Thanks!

That is too much to answer in one post. You can find everything you need to know here as this is reliable information:
Breeding Syrian Hamsters - Advice & Guidance - National Hamster Council

Also a good book like Hamsterlopaedia is useful to have to hand for all hamsster owners
