I can't wait to see clearer pictures - definitely some sort of Umbrous combination going on...

Hex almost looks like an Umbrous or Melanistic Yellow !!!! I think the colour will darken and she will actually turn out an Umbrous (or sooty) Golden. As the Umbrous gene is dominant it is likely that it came from Ponder as she was quite darkly ticked.

She certainly looks like a Golden Umbrous although I suspect dad Si may be showing Umbrous too so she could be double dose if Ponder is too...

Try to see if you can get a shot during the day with no flash on a neutral background of her and Si again. If she is Umbrous it may have come from Si as he does have quite dark ticking showing in some of the pictures. Look forward to seeing a good photograph of Ponder when you get back, and Stibbons too.

Matinee_92 (Helen) has a lovely Yellow Black or Melanistic Yellow as they are often known - Tumble - maybe she will show us some photographs if she gets the chance?

Someone needs some bitter nail polish too by the state of those nails I was a nail biter myself when I went to University but my New Year's Resolution at 21 was to stop and I haven't ever done it since

Default Silver Grey SgSg female

she isn't as dark as many show hamsters but is a lovely girl nonetheless

Pictures are quite bright but when I turned off the flash it just couldn't focus

Mum got me the hazelnuts from the woods so nice and fresh and the hamsters seem to love them - she has a few sunflowers in paper bags drying out as we speak for their Christmas
