Breeders near Chicago, IL

I was wondering if there were any breeders near Chicago IL. I don't have a specific choice in species, but I prefer Campells Dwarf, or Winter Whites. I don't want to have to travel more than 100 miles if possible, but I can be flexible. If you know of one, tell me in the forum post. If you are one, email me AND comment in the forum post. I'm commenting because my 11/12 year old daughter loves hamsters, is amazing with them, and was wanting me to get her one. She clearly told me, 'I want to get it from a breeder,' 'Our other hamster is from the petstore,' 'Please please please!!!' I don't want to disapoint her.

You can comment even if you don't know of one that's less than 100 miles (161 KG) away.

I don't know about you, but I have been so aggravated looking. I am probably just going to get one from a adoption center. *Sigh* I think that I'm the one that really wants the hamster and thats kinda ironic. I have found an adoption center not nearly 15 minutes from me

Unfortunately, North American breeders are few and far between. There are no breeders near me, so I contacted Nancy and we met halfway and I paid for her travel to come bring me hamsters. Hopefully, in a few years, we'll have more breeders, but right now it's very hard to start because access to good, foundation stock is extremely hard.

I was in contact with nancy, But the agreement with me and my daughter was she had to pay for the hamster, and that included Nancy's gas payment. She just gave up and went strait to the adoption centers.

Adopting is not so bad. It gives and otherwise homeless Hamster a real home and most I know of come tame and friendly too. Good luck with your future rescue as I'm sure you will enjoy him or her just as much as a breeder bred Hamster.

Let me know if you find one. I'm in Saint Louis and I can't find any breeders. I'd happily drive to Chicago for a hamster from a good breeder.

Hillcrest Hamstery is in Missouri she also breeds Great Danes and her name is Karen
