Default Blue Rose's litters

Two litters are on the go at pretty much the same time in Blue Rose.

Litter one - nearly 6 weeks.
Mum is Pickle, Blue Rose's Umbrous Gold Carrying cinnamon, cream and rust

Dad was Tristar's Alargon, a mink carrying Rust

The aim was for coppers but unfortunately none were produced. It was out most successful litter here at Blue Rose. 1 managed to sell at Follingley Hamster show yesterday and another left us for a new owner prior to this.

This is The Hazlenut, our lovely mink Rex Keeper from the bunch.

We still have 4 looking for their forever homes.

Litter two - 6 weeks old.
Blue Roses Lily, Gold Dom Spot carrying rust and black

Dad is Pick'n'mix's Balthazar at Blue Rose, Carrying rust and cream.

This was quite a traumatic litter for us as Pickle had 17 babies. She wasn't able to cope with the amount and abandoned over half of the litter. We were unable to save them and we were only left with 7 in the end. We were surprised with a sable in the littler as we were only expecting Black, rusts and Choclates.

Despite the shaky start the babies have gone on to do very well. 3 have already gone to new homes and 3 more are waiting for theirs

We kept the Sable in the end. She has been named Sableine and has her own song (The Maybeline song with her name substituted)

They are all lovely, and I can say that after meeting most of them in person!

Great to see them growing up, and Mr. Darcy is thriving here with me

We had an incident yesterday during the cage cleaning. One cinnamon baby leaped fence and I tore the house apart looking for him. I was almost in tears and starting to give up when I picked up my guitar and heard a thunk. He was sleeping in it happy as Larry. Though it took about another 30 mins to coax him out of it.
