no-where in this thread do you give any impression that you knew your hamster was a winter white. As quoted above, you simply say that you have a white-coloured russian. There are plenty of white-coloured dwarfs that are not winter whites. In fact, winter whites are never
completely white.
My priority when i answer posts is for the welfare of the hamsters. Unless your hamster is bought from a registered breeder (who can produce a certificate from the National Hamster Council), then there is
very slim chance of a dwarf hamster beeding pure, regardless how "good" the breeder is, or how much they care for their hams. The breeder themselves may well fully believe their hamsters to be pure, but unless they come from registered breeders, pure hams are practically extinct.
