Molly and Pippin's Babies
Following an accidental pregnancy, Molly has had her babies today! They are well hidden in a giant nest of tissue paper, and Molly has been venturing out for the occasional nibble of some porridge.
The next two weeks are going to be SO slow.

Re: Molly and Pippin's Babies
Molly has been off the best for the last hour frantically rushing around the cage digging. Is this normal? It's 5 am and I'm terrified...help?

I've had a Campbell's do this. She just went nuts! But her babies were perfectly fine. I think she's just like either:
A) oh my gosh I have babies now I'm a mother I need to dig a tunnel for them!
B) oh my gosh I'm not fat anymore I can dig now!
C) oh my gosh I have babies now I need to make nests, store food, etc.

Re: Molly and Pippin's Babies
I would place a towel about her cage to give her added security and you won't be able to watch her so won't be so excited at her doing the things she is doing. She's a first time mom so she will do weird to her things. Main thing right now is to give her a secure feeling and let her be except for food and water.
Molly knows best so you relax and let her go about what she wants to do. Congrates on the new litter.
