Default Sold the runt today.. FLOOFER IS DUE TO GIVE BIRTH TODAY..

The runt.
I kept it the longest so it could grow and spend more time with her mommy
The family looked really happy with it though, and I gave them some of his formula that had tons of vitamins and such in it, and told them to feed it to him every day.

Floofer is due to give birth today!
It has been 16 days, not counting the day that her and Cahuta mated.

My other hams gave birth the night or morning of.. this is the latest I've ever seen a pregnant hammy go..
and she isn't showing any signs of being in labour or anything.
Also, she isn't even that fat.
Slightly rounder around the hips though.. I always thought maybe it was just a small litter.

When do your hamsters usually give birth?

Mine have always given birth on the 16th day or that night - the latest was Minnie in the early hours, mine are usually in the afternoon or evening before that.

Though it is possible for Syrians to go a little longer (Day 17) most experienced breeders I know say they've never known any go longer than that (though you sometimes read 18/19 days in books I find that hard to believe).

If your girl isn't looking any bigger at all by day 17 and there are definitely no babies then she may well not be pregnant at all. Not every mating results in a pregnancy.

You are right.
She wasn't even pregnant.

I stroked her back to see if she was in heat; and she was.
