My OH wasn't too keen on getting a hamster (or any pet at all, wanted to wait until we moved) but he instantly fell in love with Luna Get him to spend time with your ham, he'll fall in love with them

You'll learn loads
Fortunately my OH loves them as much as I do so ours are all shared pets (apart from Scamp whos technically mine but thats a huge technicality since we've not spent a night apart since before I got her lol). Our hams like being shared too - means they get spoilt absolutely rotten

Just be warned - most end up with more than one if they stay on here too long. We've found our limit at 9, but for a while we mistakenly thought it was lower lol

Lucky! Hopefully I'll get him to love them too!

&blimey! I can't imagine having the time to play with them all or be able to pay for all their housing! They are wonderful pets though and I can completely understand why you'd want that many!

lol you think paying for housing is bad? And thats before you see the size of our cages... (The smallest are 100cm by 50cm)

Paying for them isn't actually too bad though. We even feed 5 dwarf hams on the most expensive mixes we can buy lol (They're also the best mixes money can buy )

Having this many works well for us. Not too many are sociable though and we've got a rotation system for having all nine out

Wow! Well I'm glad you've got it all working!
I'd love to be able to have the time, money and dedication to house some special hammies!

Yup, it all works well for us

And you've got one ham, wait a while and I'm sure you'll find the space for another lol

Bin cages are good if you were thinking of breeding, you can get special offers at supermarkets on the storage bins, and a single sheet of mesh would probably last you a few cages. Also, they can be stacked easily

That's a really good idea, I'm in the process of buying parts for one so I'll keep that in mind for the future as they seem so easy to make and are really cheap compared to decent sized cages!
