What should I do??
Hello every one.
last night, I saw pups started crawling out the nest. Most of Kimmy's time is used to find pups and return them to nest, and sometime she ignores pups and takes rest.
Now, I want to know Shall I make a blocking in front of nest to make pups unable to come out??
I have added a low level water bottle and extra foods for pups now. Is there anything I should do and I didn't do??
and Kimmy's Cage smell bad, because I didn't clean the cage since 20 days ago, when Mating was done to reduce the stress.
Now pups are 9 days old. Can I push them out and clean the cage now??
(But I know I should put some old bedding to the nest after cleaning)

No, pups will venture out whether mum likes it or not. what's the point in blocking them.
Just add more bedding, don't push the pups anywhere. The cage is going to stink for a while, there's not a lot you can do except maybe add more bedding in places.

Re: What should I do??
Er... I thought you were giving them to a breeder to look after them?
Just leave the cage alone. Their Mum will know best and if it smells it will have to smell. You must have mated the parents more than 20 days ago if the pups are starting to venture out, but the cage has to be left untouched until the Mum and pups are ready for it to be changed. Don't add anything (other than food), don't take anything out. Just let Mum and her pups get on with life without interference.

Re: What should I do??
Hammy is the Dad and Kimmy is the Mum.

after souffle told me that pups can't handle a moving and all of them will die, I changed my Idea.
and yes, at that time I was unable to recognize a hamster's gender and the pet shop told me that Hammy is female. But now I know Hammy is a boy.
Thank you for help.
