Default Cocos nest

Cocos nets is really big it is about 8cm from the pups to the top of the nest stright up, the pups are at the bottom they are doing well still. Coco likes to keep them half covered at all times, my question is they are 9 days now and there is no way they could climb out by accident but am I right in thinking that when Coco feel they are ready she will let them out or should I lower her nest. Also they are day wise about ready for food what should I do Coco takes food to her nest will they eat that. I dont want to put egg in the nest as it is so deep and half the pups are covered anyway.

Default Re: Cocos nest

They will find their way out, they'll start moving about the nest more and more at the bottom and little tunnels will be formed, then soon enough a little face will pop out! I did my breeding in clear bottomed tubs and had them up on a level so I could slowly slide them forward and peer up through. from about day nine they were moving more and more till out the bravest came. There will also be a whole lot of food that Coco has in there all at the bottom which they'll be nibbling on so don't you worry
