In not knowing the proper colours of the hamsters lisa xxmarie the problem is that you risk having baby hamsters with no eyes and major health problems.
Are you aware of the white belly gene which can be carried hidden (especially by patterned hamsters like your female) and agouti hamsters (hamsters with dark on top and lighter coloured tummies) and is hard to spot but if you mate two hamsters who both carry this gene you have a high chance of getting babies with no eyes and teeth

You don't know his specific colour? Does he have a pedigree? How far back can you trace his line?

It's a shame you didn't do just a little bit more research into this before breeding but I hope it goes well anyway! X

Well, i did as much reserch as i could, and i knew not to breed two banded hamsters together for the reasons you said, and i do have homes for these hamster pups for when they are weaned and i have the money for the vet bills and also room for any extra hamsters that i cant rehome, and i am a first time breeder so i done as much research as i could...

If you did research you would know the proper colours and its ALL pattern hams and not just banded.

I do feel so angry when i see yet another person playing around with breeding.
Its to late to say anything else other than i hope that for one she doesnt have babys and two if she does that they are healthy.

Its just a shame you left it untill you were mating them to find a forum to ask for help.
