Re: Attention Seeker?
lol I thought I was on my own I have a weird phobia I can sleep in the dark but I can't walk about the flat once I am ready to go to bed I have to turn the lights out one by one until I'm in my bedroom with the light on.
Just curious does your hamster do it with the big light on? Do you have a lamp? and does your hamster do the chewing with the lamp on as well?

Re: Attention Seeker?
I havent got a lamp, so yeah just the big light, I love the way we say that as if its a huge 5000watt bulb or something.
Im the same when I was living alone I used to turn the lights off one by one and then if I needed the toilet in the night I would put them on one by one and the off one by one to go back to bed lol.

I couldn't think of another name lol Maybe a lamp might work then, maybe try facing the light against the wall so you still have light but its not blinding your hamster?
yeah but I'm not living on my own I live with my other half which makes it worse lol

Re: Attention Seeker?
I have a lamp, but its a very bright one!
i will be terrible when i live on my own, i hate being alone at night
Ever since i was little i've wanted to sleep in the same room as someone else, i always used to try keeping my cat in my room but my mum took her downstairs.
So i find hamsters incredibly comforting, i'm often getting them out for a play in the middle of the night. I'm glad they are nocturnal

Re: Attention Seeker?
What about a small LED light? I have one that fits over my head and has a single bulb for reading. It's not terribly bright but LED's use almost no energy so they last forever and with improved technology, they are getting brighter! I also have one of those Dot-its by Sylvania and I really like it
