Unhappy Hamster is Suddenly Scared Of Me

I have had Ivy, my female Winter White Dwarf, for about 1 1/2 to 2 months now and I held her everyday. She completely trusted me. She would eat out of my hand, let me pet her, let me pick her up and do anything I wanted with her. She got out of her cage for about 4 days. When we found her she still trusted me until around 2 days after we had found her. After that she is extremely skittish and runs and hides when I put my hand in the cage and won't even come out to eat if I'm around. This is so terribly sad, does anyone know what is going on?

You don't know exactly what happened to her when she went missing for 4 days which is a long time.
She was probably hungry, thirsty and very scared, maybe she was cold and had nowhere safe to sleep.

I think that she needs time to recover from her ordeal and you need to leave her alone for a while. Maybe just talk to her quietly. Make sure that she is in a quiet environment. I'd also give her extra food so that she can have a nice big hoard around her.
