Unhappy Doritooooo!

Hello! I'm new here and reading all the questions and the posts on here has been a huge help. However I have a question of my own. Recently, I bought a bigger cage for Dorito. He has a silent runner and loves it. I also got him a saucer and I suspect he ran on that all night without stopping and without drinking or eating (I was asleep, what do I know?) It is currently 10 AM. he still wants to run on the saucer so I took it away from him. And then he started running on his wheel so I blocked it off so he can't run on it. The sun is shining and he has started eating and drinking water. But he won't go in his hideout to sleep. HELP!!!!!!!! Is this normal?

Hi and welcome to HC!

I wouldn't take a wheel away from a hamster! You were asleep and only assumed that he run on it all night but he probably didn't. Hamsters eat, drink and forage during the night too and they have naps. Not likely that a hamster would go hungry or thirsty either and some are about during the day.
I take it that your hamster is a dwarf going by the silent spinner and flying saucer wheels and some of my dwarfs are up during the day so that's nothing unusual or anything to worry about.

Let him enjoy his new bigger cage and give him his toys back is what i'd advise you to do. He'll sleep when he's tired.
