Default Should I separate my 2 hammies

Hi all, i am brand new to the hamster world. I bought 2 female robos at start of December that were together in the petshop and not wanting to separate bought them as a pair. They live in the Savic Hamster Heaven cage but recently have noticed they have been squabbling. I have included a video that i uploaded to Youtube. One of them seems to be causing trouble by jumping in the othets wheel whilst they are running despite having two wheels and I noticdd for 2nd day in a row that the food bowl is upside down and scattered across cage. 1 is defo dominant over the other, the bullied one seems to want to hide more. Should I separate. Thanks for the advice! should i separate my hamsters - YouTube

As much as some species of hamsters can be ok together, I would always advise to keep them separately. Since they are squabbling and one of them seems to be dominant, I definitely think it would benefit them. Hamsters do best kept on their own, even if some of them are okay with living in a pair. So, the short answer is yes. I hope you can manage this and get a second cage! if it's financially difficult, maybe you could make a bin cage?

Please separate them now before one gets hurt.

Hamsters are territorial animals and do better on their own.

I’ve watched the video - definitely separate, they will both be happier and safe, before one gets badly hurt
