Default My Dwarf hamster Oxana was squeaking

Hello everybody,

I got my new hamster Oxana, a Russian dwarf hamster, two weeks this sunday coming. I've been working on taming her by giving her a few mealworms, which she takes from me now and I stroke her back softly while she eats them.

I've noticed some squeaking coming from the cage tonight, she made a little nest using the aspen shavings right next to her wheel. I checked on her after figuring out her location, just moving the wheel a small amount and she came out of her nest, I gave her a mealworm and looked at her, getting her to stand up so I can observe her. The squeaking had stopped, but it went on for a few seconds every time it happened, she did it about 3 times in a few minutes, I don't know what's going on really and would like your advice, thank you

Most of my Russian hams have made some kind of squeaking noises when they sleep, I found it quite odd when I had one that didn’t1 As long as she seems fine otherwise it’s probably nothing to worry about.
