Hamster trying to escape from ikea detolf

So i got my syrian hamster about a month ago. She lived in a 450square inch bin cage for about three weeks but just tried to get out all the time. Finally a week ago I got her the ikea detolf. I was rly excited for her and thought that she was going to have enough room to be happy but apparently not. Her escaping habit has gotten even worse. She litterally spends half of her time awake just scratching the wood part of the cage and trying to reach the metal grids. It’s gotten pretty annoying because the cage is in my bedroom and all i can hear is the loud scratching. I’m also starting to worry about her being too stressed and developing some kind of illness Is there anything i can do about this?

Can you post a photo or describe the space, does she have a wheel?

It could be the sudden change of environment. I keep my syrian in a 100x50cm aquarium and when I changed the layout of her cage she started to bite the bars on the lid. She's a very demanding lady who can never get enough space. Even when I let her free roam she'll scratch the corners of the room and will try and climb on everything. But that's just who she is, really. You could try and take your syrian out for some free roaming and see how she reacts.
