Default New hamster behaviour normal?

Hi,
I recently bought my first hamster, she's a syrian and was 12 weeks old when I bought her. It has been two weeks, when we first got her she was scared to come out of her house when she heard us, now she's a lot more confident and comes to the bars when she hears us near and will take treats from me. BUT she is jumpy and bites if I put my hand in her cage. She also chews on one corner of her cage and climbs up a little on the bars. I have read both are behaviours if a hamster is stressed or bored but her cage is big and she has plenty of chew toys etc. She happily comes out in her ball if i put it to her. Once i let her go back in her cage she will try and jump over the edge if I dont put the top on quickly. Should I leave her out for longer? This is my first ever hamster and I really want her to be happy but feel a little like two weeks in im already failing

How big exactly is her cage? Female Syrians are notorious for being hard to satisfy. For example 1000 sq inches is considered big for most hamsters, but for a Syrian female that most likely won't be enough. Syrian females are lot more lively (partly due to them being in heat every few days) than their male counterparts.
