Help! URGENT!!
Okay so I got a Syrian last Thursday and he’s been doing great! Until the past two nights, he hasn’t been active very much and not using his wheel. But tonight it was more than just that. I woke up and he was sleeping and I thought that was off. So I tried waking him up and he didn’t wake up. Then I went to hold him and he just felt limp but he was moving but his eyes were closed. Whenever I put in back into his cage he tries crawling back to his hideout. It can’t be hibernating or whatever that’s called cause he’s moving right? Please reply and tell me what it could be and how to fix it, pleaseeee

Re: Help! URGENT!!
Please take him to a vet. He could have a number of conditions but wet tail is the most common one in new hamsters and that needs urgent vet treatment.

Re: Help! URGENT!!
As Souffle says, he needs to see a vet urgently. Could dehydration be an issue generally, as it's been hot? Is his water bottle working ok? (And can he reach the bottle ok?). Maybe take the bottle with you on the way to the vets so you can try and give him a drink now and then. They also get very dehydrated with wet tail, if it's that. That would need antibiotics asap.

Re: Help! URGENT!!
How is your hamster doing? Did you manage to get him to the vet?
