Exclamation New hamster twitching? and other oddities

hello, on Saturday (the 6th) I got my first hamster in 10 years Cheddar, he was bought from the petshop, is a Syrian and is roughly 2-3 months old

we left him alone all first day and 2nd we sat back and simply gave him some treats from time too time then we noticed, he does this jumping/twitching thing often?

he seems comfortable, grooming out in the middle of the cage and he evens doesn't mind being stroked (tried a lil bit today) but when he moves around he does this weird jerky twitch that kind of sends his front body backwards in a jerking manner? it's quite frequent and mostly when he walks about.

another thing is when given any treat (we tried multiple types) he will nibble for a second then just drop it and run on his saucer, sometimes even just dumping it on his wheel? he's always on that thing aswell, if he's not on his saucer he's drinking some water then sleeping.

maybe i'm being paranoid but for all my previous hamsters I never experienced this so I am concerned?
