Default Fresh food

I have given my new hammy veggies about 2 times and this time he seemed to eat them very quickly and after he was done he went straight to his nest and dug around. Could he be storing this fresh food? If he is what should I do about it and how can i stop it?

Default Re: Fresh food

Yes, he is most likely storing it.
You could reduce the portion as well as limiting when you give it him i.e only when he is out in his playpen.

But if he is like my hamster, he might become agitated until you let him go and store it.

Best to inspect his nest from time to time and spot clean if needed.

Good luck
