New hamster squeaking
Hi all,
I have just bought a new hamster, (I've owned 2 previously to this one) and she constantly squeaks when she is awake. It's not a problem but I'm just concerned as I've not heard a hamster squeak as much as she does. Our last one only did it when she was cross that something had been moved (she was blind!!)
I've looked on line and cant find much in the way of helpful answers.
Does anyone on here know why she might be squeaking?!
Thanks in advance

Re: New hamster squeaking
I’m no expert but from my knowledge when a hamster squeaks they could just be exited. When hamsters are happy they might squeak to show their happiness or excitement. Another reason could be if the hamster is startled, hamsters get spooked very easily and a way to show that is they squeak. Hope this helped

Re: New hamster squeaking
Perhaps it is a fear response? Does she have plenty of places to hide and to dig? Hope she settles soon.
