Default New Syrian hamster sleeping a lot!

Our hamster was purchased yesterday and was very lively and enjoying her new home, eating and drinking. However she has slept all day today - is that normal? Must be about 12 hours now. She wakes for a few seconds then goes back to sleep. Could she just be over tired from moving in yesterday? Not sure how long they can go without water.

Hamsters are nocturnal mostly.
Mine sleeps most of the day then comes night time she's active running around.
It can take them a few days to settle down with new smells and noises so she might not come out when you're around.
Be patient with her

Sounds like my Hammy Bear when we first brought her home! She sounds like shes still shy and still trying to get used to all the new smells and sounds. Must be tiring for small ears and nose lol
