Taming issues

So I brought my little boy peanut home last Sunday have left him to it to settle in etc I’ve chatted to him and tried to feed him tonight using the treat holding but he didn’t care for it. Instead he laid very flat like a pancake on the floor he allowed me to stroke him with my finger (which is a first!) is this ok as in he is starting to get used to me? Any tips etc
My other hams were so different and wanted to jump on me from day one and want this little cutie to have the same!
