Default Wrecking the place

My girl hamster has just started wrecking her cage every night!

e up in the morning, her wheel is on its side, house is open with no bedding in it, food bowl is up side dwn, she some how gets her water bottle off the side of the cage and all the saw dust is pushed to one side of the cage!

She used to do this every now and then but its been every night for about 2 weeks now!

i thought it might be becourse shes bored but i get her out every night!

Anyone else had this problem?

My hamsters decide to wreck their cages, I know my female hamster Stella is especially bad and she always eats everything i put in her cage. Maybe you could put a few new things in the cage to keep her entertained? I usually make those treat balls out of cardboard toilet rolls and put a peanut or choccy drop inside and then hang it from the top of the cage

Also what type of cage is she in? My hamsters are always manic when they know I'm in the room and start hanging from the top of the cage lol but I think it just means they are bored adn want to come out

Teenage angst! I remember what I was like when I was younger!!

Peanut has just started doing this. He has so much in his cage, I can't get much else in. I think it's just something they like to do!

I peek in the morn and he has done a Changing Rooms!! :S

You havent met crazy until you've met my Little Mo! She's a complete nutter...and enjoys frantically rearranging her cage.

Every night she wakes up and spends half an hour kicking all of her floor covering to a new part of her cage. She also spends quite a while behind her wodent wheel trying to push it accross the cage - you can tell when she's awake by the sound of the wheel clonking against the side of the cage cos she's shoving it over.

Shes been coming out for about 45 mins a night and is having a proper run about the house (all rooms) in that time - she just has so much energy!

So what I'm saying is, it seems strange to us but some hammies obviously enjoy a good destruction session to use up some built up energy

My new ham Porridge does this a bit. But lil peggy doesn't at all, maybe its a syrian thing? Porridge has had her sand box for one night and theres a huge hole in it and loads of bedding inside already
