Digging in hand? - is it a sign of distrust?
Hello,
Recently my dwarf hamster Frodo, who LOVES to burrow in his cage, has started "dig" in my hand. I was wondering if it was his way of showing distrust? Am I too cold?
Whenever he "digs" in my hand i let him down to his cage, as im not sure if it is just because he just doesn't like being in my hand. However, he always stays in my hand, and sometimes even climbs further up unto my arms.
I've never heard anyone speak of this kind of behavior when they are holding their hamster - Any thoughts on why?
Is this a sign of distrust - or does he secretly want to live in my body for warmth O:

I'm not sure why & it's not something any of mine have really done but if he didn't trust you or was stressed or anything like that I doubt he would stay on your hand really, any kind of digging is such natural behaviour for them it doesn't sound like something you need to worry about I wouldn't think.

Oh okay, I just find it very odd, as I've never experienced this with previous hamsters. Frodo might just be plotting my demise haha
