Robo Hamster squeaking. Help please!
Hello!
I have two robo hamsters living together for 6 months now. Poli was 1 year old and Grizzly was 3months old when I first got them.
They used to eat, sleep and play together all the time. I felt like Poli was even taking good care of Grizzly.
But since 2 months ago I hear Grizzly squeak often. Poli never bites him he just gets on top of Grizzly and that's when Grizzly squeaks.
Grizzly runs away when he sees Poli at night time, but he's fine sleeping with him and being with him during the afternoon.
I don't know if this is just simple quarrel or is it dangerous.
Should I separate them?
Please help!
Thank you!

Re: Robo Hamster squeaking. Help please!
Doesn't sound like they're getting along if there's squeaking and jumping on the other now, it often does happen where their tolerance of each other just goes downhill especially when they mature. Since they're not litter mates it made it even more likely really. Even if they sometimes still sleep together it doesn't really mean anything as often they'll do that even after fights. It does sound like it's about time to separate them, they'll both be happier in their own space where there isn't competition. It may take them a few days maybe over a week to get used to life alone but don't worry about it. It's much better to separate before the fighting gets out of hand instead of being too late.

Re: Robo Hamster squeaking. Help please!
I agree that it would be a good time to separate them, this kind of behaviour can escalate very quickly, it is unusual for hams that aren't siblings to get along at all but it may just have been that Grizzly was a young ham but now he's mature they both need their own space & will get more territorial.
It's safer to separate now as you can't watch them 24/7 & they could fight & get injured any time.

I agree you should separate them. Grizzly is getting bullied and the stress can be just as bad as actual fighting. They will do fine living separately
