Can a hamster be too nice?
On Saturday, I adopted a hamster I have since named Hibiscus She is a 3 month old female campbell's dwarf. I haven't even reached a week of her being with me, yet she is still eager to be held and explore outside of her cage. She isn't at all apprehensive when I put my hand near her, and will come up and say hello. According to the pet store, she had never been handled. Is this just personality? Or is she adjusting quicker than most hamsters?

Re: Can a hamster be too nice?
Hibiscus sounds very sweet! Some hamsters are more confident than others so it could be down to both personality and how quickly she is adjusting. My hamster was very confident when she first came to me, however I know about hamsters which are not so confident. So it is normal.
I hope other people can be of some more help to you.

I’ve had hammies like that! I’m sure it’s just their personalities
