I'm glad you adopted the little one. She looks lovely
I'd say that she probably had cage aggression in the small cage due to feeling overexposed and having a small territory that she felt she needed to defend. She also likely was under handled and became a little feral and felt insecure so chose to protect herself.
The new cage has lots of places she can hide and move around in safety she will feel and also you are more confident in handling her.
Well done

Thank you!

I was even able to pet her really gentle on the back, while feeding her. (She seemes to love the scatterfeeding) She did tremble very slightly, so I guess she needs a bit of work. I guess around the weekend I will update some more.

Well, she was awake this morning. And a few things already seem different:

M told me, before she came to me, that she didn't dig. Then again, her old cage did not even offer this chance. It was I think a Ferplast Paula, without tubes. As of now, she is still nameless.

The little lady was digging around her home. Her substrates right now just consist of some hay and hemp and is about 5-8 cm thick. Will add some more in the coming week.

She also loves to destroy toiletpaper, so I gave her some more. Nest building is a new thing too, for her, it seems.

She came to the cage door, the little bugger soons want to come out I guess.

No biting behaviour of other issues detetected so far. I can put my hand in the cage and she even took a piece of paper from my hand.

Only thing I noticed is that she climbs up a bit at the cage corners and 'scratches' against this. Once of twice seen so far and very short, but I think a thicker substrate level will help fix this?

Other plans: I want to add a wooden level or two-three, maybe connect them with wooden bendy bridges, place a bigger sandbath en some more toys. Little one seems very curious and started climbing atop her wooden house. More substrate ofcourse And...hoo boy, her nails seem to need be clipped. That will be a whole different challenge, for the vet ofcourse.

Pictures:

Tubes: The network she uses to travel around, Seems to make her feel more secure.

She sounds as though she's enjoying her new home! All the new things to discover & have fun with, I'm sure she'll appreciate the extra substrate to dig in too.
She really is a lovely looking little ham.

She sounds extremely happy and adjusting really well in her new home. I absolutely love the second pic in your last post. She is really gorgeous and very, VERY cute.

I'm glad she's coming around. Today at the petsotre I saw her former cage. My, what a horrible thing it was! Even tinier then I expected.

Bedding is very expensive at that store, so I guess I shall order some. Much cheaper!

Can't wait to ad more stuff! Will probably post some pics on "Housing" after her cage is done.

Ordered some stuff! Will be arriving around friday I think.

Can stick my hand in the cage, she doesn't bite or sniff at it. But looks a bit: "...what's this?" then ignores it.

Wondering when and if she will ever climb upon my hand.

aww she is doing well. I see what you mean about the claws needing cut. I'd let her settle a bit before having those done though as you don't want to set her back a step.

Yeah I will let her settle in for atleast the next two weeks and see from there.

Maybe If I ad some more terracotta stuff, it will help?

Made some pictures today, I want to do a complete cage makeover tomorrow. So some before pictures!

Stuck my hand in de cage, with balled fist, while she was busy.
She didn't mind the hand, just kept on doing her own thing. When she noticed it she...just walked past it. I could feel her fur brush along my fist, her body didn't didn't feel tense. Her fur felt very soft, a bit silky.

She did however nibble my fist once of twice. I did feel it, but it didn't hurt. Nor did she draw blood. It was also very short. That's good, right?

I don't disturb her too often. Once or twice a day I like to watch her when she's awake and minding her own business.
