Fighting?
So I stopped off at p@h and i thought these two dwarfs were fighting the one was just on top of thw other kind of jolding it down and the one underneath at points looked like he was going or trying to eat the others paw.
I haven't owned a pair before so I have no idea if this was actually fighting I called the worker over jus to check and they said it was just playing but i thought it was bit moreb like bullying. I got a few photos

Re: Fighting?
It's highly possible that they are fighting. Very rarely do hamster pairs actually work out. I would say it's best they're seperated. Fights can escalate really quickly and end up in severe injuries that can maim the weaker one or worst case scenario even death. First sign of aggression and they should be apart. I think this qualifies.
Hope you get it sorted out soon and they have a wonderful time with you.

Re: Fighting?
Sadly they aren't mine. Still in pets at home looking for an owner (Reading store if anyones interested ). If I could I would buy them and would separate them just to be sure. They look so cute but I can only care for Tofu at the minute.

Re: Fighting?
Ah. I just read it your post again. My bad. It is sad that they keep them together in pet stores. As if giving wrong advice and keeping these little wonders in tiny cages isn't enough.
I really hope they find someone who would care and understand their needs soon!

Re: Fighting?
It does look like they were either fighting or establishing dominance. Its is a real shame that the store worker didn't act upon your concern or reassure you that they would closely monitor them and if thing escalate they would be separated.

Re: Fighting?
All you can do is complain to the store and hope they get separated somehow. Hams at P@H tend to be sold quite quickly anyway so lets just hope they don't go to their new owner as a pair

Re: Fighting?
On saturday morning I popped back in because of my anxiety. Although it was hard to see it looked like they were both sleeping peacefully underneath the bendy bridge. It may have just been the one though.
I now really want to work at that pets at home (it's just down the road and im taking a gap year after I finish school in june) because I feel I could be quite helpful for the hamsters there (and also i'd get to see cute animals all the time!) but we'll see.
