Default Syrian and his sand box

So I officially gave Herman a sand box to play in after testing him out on a plate of sand. He loves his sand box.
So much so that he digs and plays in it about 1/4 of his awake time. (1/2 of his awake time is spent on his wheel).

Should I take away his sand box?

I wouldn't see any reason to take it away if he's enjoying playing in it. He'll probably stop playing in at as much once the novelty has worn off

I agree with BP I don't see any reason to remove it if he is enjoying it.

I agree that you should just leave the sand box in for Herman.

I've had Syrian's that have no interest in the sand box (except as a toilet), but my current Syrian loves digging in it, and although she does spend less total time in it now I have to say it's still one of her favourite things to do, and she's nearly a year old! I say leave it in, the only reason to take it out would be if it's causing him excessive dry skin so just keep an eye on that
