Food Bowl Sleeping
I've owned quite a few hamsters, but I have never seen this kind of behavior! My current hamster, Coconut, has taken to sleeping in his food bowl! It dosen't particularly bother me, but I've never seen him do this. He brings tissue paper and bedding to the bowl and makes a small nest. I feel bad moving his nest around, but I have to feed him. The bowl isn't that big, either. Has anyone expirenced this before? And what should I do about it?

Re: Food Bowl Sleeping
He sounds so cute.
Maybe use a different bowl for feeding? So he can keep his bed but you still have one easy place to put all the food. As long as it's not causing him harm I don't think there's any reason to stop it unless you have no other option of where to place his food.
But I'm no expert so maybe a more experienced user could provide better advice.

Re: Food Bowl Sleeping
I would agree with cookietiger, or if you don't have another food dish you could always scatter feed?

Re: Food Bowl Sleeping
Another bowl for food and let him nest were he is. Normally they prefer a dark place to nest.
If he has a nice dark place he may move his nest in there.
