Default Harmless but weird behavior

My keeper from my last litter of 2017 has a very peculiar behavior. She loves coming out and will sit on my lap for several minutes. Neither of her parents display this behavior. When she first comes out to play in her pool playground she will start drooling. She ends up looking like she has chomped on the water spout but when she is collected from her bin she is dry mouthed and leaps into my hand to come out. Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

Gotta love that freckled face

She is actually a Black Tort but with Mommy's silver gray and both parents poly white the Yellow spots end up white.

Here's her Sire

Not experienced enough to comment on behaviour Nancy, but I wanted to say that it is great to see you posting again. Love the photos of your spotty girl and her beautiful parents.

I'm in a Face Book Hamster group with 7,000 members which is where I am posting most days. They don't mind the genetic info and actually ask for more.

She sounds to have a lovely temperament! Maybe she is just a very affectionate hamster and still having "nesting leaving" issues at 6 weeks so wanting affection (maybe the drooling?) You have clearly been adopted!

I couldn't work out how to see the photos/click the links.

The pics should have loaded without any link Serendipity as they are off my PC not any other page.

I have never experienced anything like that before.
Maybe shes just very loving.
If my hamster did that I would be extremely surprised because he tries to run away as soon as I get him out.
the pictures are adorable

I now have mostly Yellow Carrying Rust, Chocolate, or Black Eyed Honeyblack Males and either Rust ,Chocolate, or Black carrying the rust gene females. I do keep a few Tort girls when they are the best to keep. Like this silly girl.
