Default Hamster is suddenly terrified of everything

I have a dwarf hamster named Ruby. Ruby is a Russian Campbell or so I've been told. I've had her for about a year and 1 month and have successfully tamed her. She's also gone white in the face,So im guessing she's elderly. Recently, she's been displaying some weird behavior.
Ruby is normally a little recluse. She only likes to come out of the cage occasionally. But now she always wants to come out. She runs around frantically and waves her arms at the door of the cage(The thing she does when she wants out). She seems terrified. The only time she calms down is when I hold her or stroke her. The moment I put her down or back in her cage,She goes back to being frantic and scared.
I've recently bought 2 new parakeets. I house their cages together. I figured maybe their scent was freaking her out,but I moved her and it doesnt seem to help. I thought maybe it was her bedding. I used the scented lavender one. (I know,I know.Respitory problems.I always let it air out before I put it in. It was the only bedding I could find. )
I've also checked for symptoms of wet tail. She's dry. Her eyes seem clear. No crust.
Is she sick?Is she just getting old?
Anyways,I don't know what the problem is.Any advice on this matter will be appreciated .

Thx

Did you get her from a breeder? If not then she's probably a hybrid & going white in the face is most likely the Winter White genes showing through with some seasonal colour change, it's not an indication of age that I've come across, do you have any idea how old she was when you got her?

If you can I would either move the parakeets to another room or try moving her again, if you move her it could still take her a while to settle so her behaviour may not change again straight away.

Is she eating, drinking, peeing etc normally? It's hard to tell if her behaviour may be a sign of illness without any other symptoms to go on really.
Russian hams don't get wet tail btw.

Where are you? Lavender scented substrate really isn't good & if you can give us your location we may be able to suggest something else available where you are.
It's not just the possibility of respiratory problems that's an issue with scented substrate, hams rely on their sense of smell more than any other sense & they shouldn't really have anything with a strong scent in the cage.
