Question My robo dwarf flys off her saucer

I recently got my new pet hamster (Mittens), she just loves her saucer, but I’ve noticed she tends to fly off it a lot and usually hits either the side of her habitat or her sand bath. What worries me is the audible thud that every time I hear makes me feel likes she’s breaking something I don’t know if it is cause for alarm or not so I’m just asking, also when she falls off will normally run into her house for 30 seconds or so, then just get right back on her saucer

My robo hamster used to fall out of his wheel or flip over at first. Now he doesn’t. Yours should learn by practicing.

Move the sand bath further away if possible.

It's not unusual for them to fly off the wheel when they first start to use it, they get the hang of it after a while & stop doing it, it is important to keep the wheel in a clear area so they can only land on substrate though.
You may find she does better with an upright wheel rather than a saucer too.

Thx for the input, I had gotten the saucer because I wouldn’t have Tom worry about her outgrowing it, and a saucer is what all the habitats at the store had them.

My robos have a flying saucer and an upright wooden wheel. They use both and dont fly off them! (got them as adults).
