Scared?
Hi everyone, the past few days i manage to hold Hamtaro in my hand without him nibbling/biting he even sleep in my hand yesterday which is an improvement. But when i do hold him, sometimes he manages to spit out the seeds/food out of his mouth which i'm hearing he is nervous how can i get him to feel more relaxed in my hand? I even sing or talk to him to help with being more relaxed.
My second question is when i put him down somewhere safe he would hardly touch the food i place but just rather explore or run off. Is that a normal thing or should i be worried?
Thank you for answering.

Re: Scared?
Both behaviours are totally normal.
He may be depouching because he's nervous & stop doing it as he gets more used to being handled or it may just be that he has nowhere safe to put it while out of the cage.
Wanting to run around & explore is natural, if you give food or treats & they don't actually eat it then they usually just want to go off & stash it somewhere safe.
