Winter white blind?

I'm not sure if my winter white is blind. He had red eyes but he's no got a pure white body, he's got grey on he's back. I know he's probably a winter white hybrid because I got him from a pet store and I've read you can only get them from breeders really. If I wave in front of he's face he doesn't look round and he never watches when you walk past he cage etc. I'm not bothered if he is blind I'm just wondering if he is. He can have a reaction to very bright light but if it was a light on my phone he doesn't see it.
