Hamster taming trouble
Helooooo,
So I've had my hamster mellow for about a month and a half now and things were going smoothly until about a week or 2 ago. I was doing regular taming and had even gotten him to get on my hand and eat, I was so excited to finally have him like me However 2 weeks ago he managed to escape his cage due to a second story I had installed. Luckily I was awake and noticed, but I panicked and just picked him up with my hand. I got rid of the second story but ever since then he has wanted nothing to do with me. I've been trying to start over with just waiting by his hideout with a treat but I'll wait forever. Even if I leave the treat he won't come out until in away from the cage, only to run back in. I even tried giving him a whole Thursday-monday alone to see if he was just too stressed after I took away the extra floor, but that did nothing. Any advice for me? should I just give him more time?

Re: Hamster taming trouble
I had the exact same problem with Mila. What I did was I talked around her cage and walked around it for a while to get her used to me and see that I'm not a threat after about 3 weeks of doing this i started the taming process again and it worked find hope this helps
