Default Taming and a strange behavior

Hello everyone,

Lately i have been keeping up with taming when Hamtaro is fully awake. Yesterday we did the laying on his back taming perfectly in my room (watched Erin's animal taming video) , he would struggle a bit then he would take the peanut/biscuit from my hand and eat it while on his back feeling relaxed. But today we moved the challenge into the living room, that's when he decided to go a bit too excited/hyper he wouldn't let me turn him over and give him the treat he jump out my hand got on the couch and i had to get him up quickly before he escapes, nips etc. We went back in my room later and he was doing fine for a bit but he still refuses to turn over without moving his paws trying to get out of my hands, bites or nips my finger. I give him treats to calm down, sing to him or try to stroke him. Even when i blow on his face to stop the biting (in general) he ignores it and does his own thing. I do not want one day when i have to take him to the vet for some reason he freaks out if the vet has to hold him.

Another thing is when I'm taming/ letting him play in a certain box, (its a cardboard box) at random times he would turn over for no reason. I'm not sure if hes tired or relaxed even when i'm not in the room i would come back and hes on his back. We don't have any other pets and I also have a feeling it has something to do with his sleeping schedule. Please help if anyone has any advice or solution to these. Thank you!

Not sure if I can help but maybe the living room smelled new to him and maybe that was why . Were any electronic devices on in the living room if so that also could be a reason. I'm not sure abut the laying on the back thing since iv not seen my dwarf Celica or my Syrian Yamagi do that. How long does he stay on his back.

For a few minutes until i call his name then he rolls back over and runs to me. I have pictures of him doing that a few times. As for the living room their is the t.v. but it was muted but it did smell of food so maybe that's why?

The tv was still on so it probably giving off noise after all ham hams ears are far more sensitive than ours so maybe try not having any thing on. The laying on his back thing might be him just napping. Maybe some other people will have advice on it.
