Default Biting and scratching a corner

Okay, so Chi is finally in her new cage and she loves that she can now dig deep in her substrate. But for some reason, she keeps attack two corners of the base...the ones closer to the door of my room. She bites and scratches mercilessly at these corners but doesn't bite the bars. Now, I understand this could be from boredom as I haven't given her many due to not having the same until recently. I'm just worried that she meant hurt herself or escape.

Anyway ideas why this is happening and how to solve it?

My hamsters would get bored as well, you just need to find ways to entertain them (they're like children Lol). I take my hamster out for about an hour or 2 every night, sit with them in a room and just let them run around while i watch from the side. they love that because they don't have to be with you but they're still around you, and its so cute to see them run up and climb up onto your lap sit there and then scurry away. It burns off some energy besides just using a wheel, and it builds a bond between the two of you. I also encourage that you use scavenging to your advantage. Hamsters are natural foragers, so just take their normal food and toss it in the bedding instead of putting it in a bowl, they'll dig around and look for it. Not only is that more natural but its something to do as well. The final thing that i do is i take treats that you buy in petco (like the bigger ones) and i hook them a bit high up on the cage so my hamster really has to work to pull it apart and eat it, it takes them a long time to get through it and therefore it entertains them.
