Question Sleeps a lot?

I noticed my ham ham botan who I got from a pet store a little over a month ago sleeps a lot do you think that will change when I get a bigger cage or is my ham ham just lazy. She's a female hybrid dwarf.

Default Re: Sleeps a lot?

Hamsters sleep a lot more than people expect. They especially enjoy sleeping when we're not, which makes it appear they sleep more than they should (as time does feel longer when we're awake doesn't it?). As long as she overall seems happy and healthy, she should be just fine. A larger cage, I've found, does help to encourage them to be more active. When you upgrade, you may find that she'll come out more often
