Default Seasons affecting sleep patterns

I have been wondering if being that the summer days are long and the nights are short affect how long hamsters sleep. Speedy is awake at 1ish am and goes to bed at around 7-8am. When we first got Speedy, he would be awake around 9pm and go to bed at 10am. This late wake up makes it hard to interact with him, when trying to tame him. Any advice? Is anyone noticing the length of day and nights affecting their hamster's sleep?
Also Speedy's been biting me. Yesterday he bit hard enough to draw blood. I did try to blow air in his face to discourage him from biting. Any advice there also?

My dwarf hams get up later in summer, they are very sensitive to the day length.
You could try gently waking him a little earlier for taming, just rustle the bedding a little to see if he wakes & comes out then reward him with a treat or make that feeding time or as he's up late in the morning spend some time interacting with him then.
I wouldn't blow on him if he bites, they usually either bite because they think your fingers are food, this can happen for a while if you hand feed but they do usually grow out of it, or because they're scared so doing something like blowing will only make it worse. some will be a bit territorial about the cage in which case it's better to handle them out of the cage where they are less likely to bite.
If he does bite try not to react, jump or make a sudden noise! Just gently remove your hand, give him a moment then go back to what you were doing, it can take time & patience but they do mostly stop doing it after a while.

Cypher, thanks for the info. I heard that blowing air discouraged them from biting. And he bit me in the play pen. And maybe it is after I had food in my hand. Maybe I will try to feed him with one hand and let him crawl into my other hand.
