Default How to tell where they potty?

So far I can only tell they pee in the wheel. How do I know what else is the potty area?

Remind of which species you have again? I've heard chineseys are particularly prone to using their wheels as a toilet so if you have a Chinese, it wouldn't be all that unusual. It's also not unusual in the other species though so I wouldn't be surprised either. Chances are, if after looking all over, you still can't find it. Then I wouldn't stress over it. Just wipe the wheel down with a wet cloth once a week or so

If you think they might be peeing somewhere else as well as the wheel then the only way I've found to tell is by picking up handfuls and smelling it (sounds horrible I know but you can smell it). Or if you have white/light coloured bedding then it usually goes yellow if they've pee'd on it.

Other than the wheel or sand where it's fairly obvious I do as BP does, sniff & see

They are chinese and the bedding is not white. I can see pee in the wheels but am wondering if they use a corner that should be cleaned more often as well. I have not found any wet spots except where the velcro let go on the water bottle and it leaked all over the substrate.

Sometimes my Chineseys will pee in their houses so it's worth having a sniff of the nesting material to see, that's about the only way to tell as they pee so little you're unlikely to find any wet areas.

Time will tell! I've had Newtie for over 6 weeks and didn't know where he was peeing. It turns out he did have a pee corner, but seemed to be removing the pee'd on substrate and burying it!
